End of the dry spell...

All crafters hit lows along the road of crafting and I had mine a couple of weeks back, I just wasn't interested and felt I had no direction...But Mollie Makes 10th issue came out and after reading about the creative couples who had dreams of starting a craft business and these then became reality...I felt the desire to burrow into the studio and get creative. I designed a new line of Stamp broaches (pictures coming soon) which are all dedicated to this years Diamond Jubilee...I have a hunch that is is going to be all red, white, blues, stamps, street parties and vintage goings on! So I started working with the wood and sandpaper and using old stamps created broaches which I made sure followed a quality control checklist so that they were perfection...and it paid off...I made 3 sales and am thinking about building my collection and selling it to The Art Room Gallery, a local business that stocks the work of local artists...It couldn't have gone better and now I am desparate for Friday to hurry up then I can have a days crafting....uninteruppted!!!

The perfect thing to do...

Well, Christmas has been and gone, and so has the New year celebrations. I hope that you all got some lovely gifts, I know I did and my favourite, by a long way was my new Crafters Devotional. A book so brilliant and magnificent, words cannot begin to describe it! But a picture can...

...such a fabulous gift from my mum! It has really helped to inspire me, for instance the other day I carved and created my own rubber stamp out of an old eraser, I now have a swallow stamp which will no doubtedly appear as my background soon! My mum has officially become my guru to the creative world! It is an important thing to have and she offers me guidance and direction when it comes to Blue Sky Designs, I have alot to thank her for, including the all important and numerous trips to Hobby Craft, incidently, where I live at the moment!
